Giving teachers feedback is an essential part of improving teacher performance and, consequently, student performance. But how best to give feedback that the teacher will be able to hear and utilize? This session offers program managers, coordinators and others who conduct teacher observations tools that can really enhance teacher development. Drawing on research and her own experience both as an observer and being observed, the facilitator will discuss how numerous factors –including length of session, choice of words, and amount of input may affect outcomes.
